Ingolf Norman Kiland was born March 26, 1895, in Sioux Falls, S.D. He commanded the Transport Division, Amphibious Force from 1942 to 1943, and achieved the rank of rear admiral in September 1944. Sides, John H. (John Harold), 1904-1978

John Harold Sides was born April 22, 1904, in Roslyn, Washington. He received his commission as Ensign in the U.S. Navy in 1925, and advanced to the rank of admiral in 1960.
